The Fatback Band are often thought to be a product of the late 70's Disco boom, this however was not the case. They started back in 1970 by producer Bill Curtis who wanted to put together a session band to back a load of artists he wanted to assemble. But it soon became apparent they could kick out dance floor hits with the best of them. They for some reason enjoyed more success in Britain than in the states where their light hearted, good time funk was duly appreciated.
